InuKag - Over The Cherry Blossoms

I thought it's about time I start submitting here fanart of the other pairings I like in Inuyasha. So I decided to start with Inuyasha and Kagome, my second favorite paring in the series. ^ ^

Although Kikyou is my favorite character, I always preferred Inuyasha with Kagome. He was always so happy with Kagome, and their love was so pure...

Actually, I started thinking of Kikyou and Sesshoumaru as a couple, because for me it was obvious that Inuyasha would end up with Kagome.

I wanted that Kikyou also had a second chance. Sesshoumaru seemed to match her personality wise, and when I discovered that he had Tenseiga, a sword that can bring people back to life, it sounded perfect. If a relationship developed between them, maybe Sesshoumaru could find a way to bring Kikyou back. Since then, I've only found more and more reasons why they would make a great pairing.

Anyway, in this fanart I tried to show how Inuyasha is kind with Kagome (like he is in most of their moments in the manga that was not shown in the anime). My idea here was Inuyasha trying to cheer Kagome up by showing her a new angle of seeing the cherry blossoms. ^v^

I made a sketch of this idea on April 2010, but only now I could make a finished drawing. XD

The lineart and colors were done in Paint Tool Sai, the background and effects in Photoshop 7.
